Ubiquitous Bud

We added a nice new tin sign to the museum yesterday. After touring the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Merrimack, N.H. on Monday, we picked up this great piece of breweriana in the gift shop... it now hangs in the museum for visitor enjoyment.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the A-B folks and sampled their new Irish stout. It's no Guinness - but it wasn't horrible! The wife and kids loved the Clydesdales, I loved the beer (and the horses, too!) and everyone had fun! Thanks to the Vincents of Amherst, NH for a great gift of a Schell's Beer six-pack, still intact from 1978! We also appreciate the tape of the F.X. Matt brewery commercials featuring Schultz & Dooley - a great addition to our video collection!

Cheers.

Baseball/Beer

This morning I was reading an article in the new BCCA magazine (Beer Cans and Brewery Collectibles, April/May issue) about 'Beer and Baseball.' For some reason baseball is on my mind today. Now why is baseball dominating my thoughts this morning....? Hmm. Let me think about this for a while...

Congrats again to the Boston Red Sox, World Champions! Even my bus driver, a Brooklyn born Yankee fan, said "GO RED SOX" this morning. "Today is their day." Indeed it is!

Blue aparagus?

At last...daffodils, crocus, and more, blooming behind the Beer Can Museum!
So, I was out in the back yard yesterday with my ten year old daughter. She looked at the purple hyacinths that are getting ready to go Kabloom and she asked me "Daddy, are those asparagus?"

That's all I've got today! Purple asparagus would be pretty cool.
